The Veritex Bank Championship is Arlington’s ONLY Tour stop! While our event officially got its start in 2020, we did not get to host our first tournament until 2021 as a result of COVID-19. After the inaugural tournament the Veritex Bank Championship was awarded the 2021 ‘TRUCK’ award at the Korn Ferry Tour season ending meetings. The award is given to a tournament that works hard, puts on a great event, adjusts on the fly, and most importantly – has fun doing so! Veritex Community Bank is dedicated to be the best bank in Texas. Veritex takes pride in being a community bank with local decisions. Field Size: 156 player field, cut to 65 and ties after 36-holes

TYSON ALEXANDER COMPLETES KORN FERRY TOUR'S FIRST SUCCESSFUL TITLE DEFENSE
Tyson Alexander became the first player in Korn Ferry Tour history to successfully defend a title, rallying to win the 2022 Veritex Bank Championship.
Alexander closed with a 6-under 65 to finish at 22-under 262 at Texas Rangers Golf Club, two strokes ahead of Pontus Nyholm (62) and Byeong Hun An (66).
Alexander capped his bogey-free round with a birdie on the par-5 18th. The 33-year-old former University of Florida player earned $135,000 for his second tour victory. Last year, he closed with a 64 to take the inaugural event at 23 under.
Alexander's farther, Buddy Alexander, won the 1986 U.S. Amateur Championship and coached Florida to two NCAA titles. His grandfather, Skip Alexander, won three times on the PGA TOUR.

Arlington Golf and the Texas Rangers have partnered to build the world’s only Major League Baseball-branded golf course — the Texas Rangers Golf Club — which opened in February 2019. This collaborative branding partnership, along with $24 million in course renovations, affords the opportunity for Arlington to offer a destination golf course for both Arlington residents and visitors alike.
“As the world’s only MLB-themed golf course, this course is sure to be a ‘bucket list’ item for baseball fans across the globe, especially our Rangers fan right here in Arlington,” Former Mayor Jeff Williams said.
A $24 million project, Texas Rangers Golf Club involved a total renovation and updated routing of the existing golf course with improved turf grasses and additional water features. A new 33,871-square-foot clubhouse, set to open in 2020, will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, covered patio overlooking the golf course, pro shop, locker rooms, and numerous rental and event spaces.
