Frequently Asked Questions

Volunteerism is a cornerstone of all Korn Ferry Tour events and vital to the success of the Veritex Bank Championship. A great way to give back to the community and an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of the action!

No, you do not! We have a variety of committees to choose from that do not require any golf knowledge. We will also provide opportunities for training prior to the tournament.

There are several exciting changes for VBC 2024! One being a new management group with several years of Sport management under their belts. With a new group comes a new set of faces eager to meet and work with every one of you, please don’t hesitate to say hello. Secondly, a new committee will be added to this year’s event- Shotlink Greenside. At registration, please note if you have any prior experience using Shotlink or if you are interested in joining the new committee.

We ask all volunteers to pay a fee of $65 to help cover expenses of the volunteer program as well as support and give back to the community-based charities. The Volunteer package includes:
  • One (1) Tournament Polo
  • One (1) Tournament Hat
  • One (1) Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party
  • One (1) Volunteer Credential with Volunteer Parking
  • Five (5) General Admission Tickets for friends and family
  • Complimentary lunch and snacks while volunteering
  • Complimentary round of golf at The Rangers Golf Course (min 3 shifts)

*Please note that Youth volunteer packages are FREE for volunteers ages 16-19 years old. Youth Packages do not include invite to volunteer appreciation party and round of golf. Youth participants can volunteer for service hours or career experience, please contact Valerie for further details at .

We ask that you work a minimum of three (3) shifts over the course of the tournament. Each shift ranges from four to six hours.

Yes! Your volunteer credential will serve as your admission pass for the entire week and we encourage you to use it. We do ask that you not wear your uniform when not on duty, so please bring a change of clothes if you plan to spectate before or after your shift. We find it helps other spectators from asking you questions when you are off the clock.

Please make every effort to attend training. However, if you are unable to attend, your committee chairman will provide you with the necessary information.

The Tournament offices are aware of the overlap and have connected in order to make it work for each event. Please inform your committee chairman of any conflicts as soon as possible, further details and accommodations will be provided.

All assignments and schedules will be made via the Volunteer Registration page. We will send you a confirmation email with your committee assignment and chairman’s contact information prior to the tournament.

Committees are filled on a first come first served basis, but we always try to give returning volunteers their first preference when available.

Uniform Distibution will be held 1-2 weeks before the tournament, specific date and location TBD.

Yes, you may purchase them at any time. After registration, uniform items will be available for exchange and purchase at the Tournament Office and at Volunteer Headquarters during the week of the event.
